Betta's Are a Life Style.

Not even entirely sure what a blog is, but mine is dedicated to my fish, family, friends and life. First post... Uhm I guess I'll start with: Don't expect many, unless I remember for some weird reason to blog. I really enjoy my fish, I have 5 betta's, the pride and joys in my life other than my 2 dogs of course. I know you must be thinking 'how can a fish be a pride and joy!?' well, it started about a year ago when I got some extra cash from a relative, now my favorite spot in Wal-Mart has always been the fish isle, but this time I went to the little fish in the cups, I saw these little poor fellas in nasty cups, i was repulsed! I knew nothing of these fish but I was determined to get one, I picked up the cleanest healthiest fish of them all, I walked down the isle and got everything with a picture of a betta, and some other things that seemed like they'd be important. My mom covered the cash I didn't have, I got home,stuck him in a vase, with rocks and nothing else, which I now know is horribly wrong! Well, eventually while garage selling  I got a 10 gallon, with a hood, heater, filter, etc. I filled it up, dechlorinater in the water, and put Mister in it.Well, he lived a couple of months while I continued with my new addiction, and tried to get as many as possible, I had up to 10 at one point, but obviously all but 2 died, I then decided to research, and thats when I found this wonderful site called www.BettaFish.com... I made an account, -MistersMom- and began learning things I never even considered. Well, I now have 5 loves that I care for, and love, they each have their own special little personality and attitude. Aqua, Bello, Sir, Sister,and Odysseus. I have a 20 gallon and 10 gallon, each divided to fit them. If you have the time and the space for a Betta in your life,  I highly suggest you to get one, after research and buying the proper things, they make wonderful pets, and family members and each one is different.
